How awesome would that be?
Who would it be then? Team Jacob or Team Edward? Peeta or Gale?
So, I take Yomama to Amoeba Records last Saturday night – relatively cheap date (for Mom anyway) – less than $50, plus she gets to take something home. Purchases (all hers) consist of: Shine A Light (Rolling Stones DVD produced by Martin Scorsese); Nirvana Live at Reading Festival DVD; and Twilight Soundtrack CD. Unfortunate complication: Simon and Garfunkel are stuck in the DVD player in the bedroom and I am forced to watch Nirvana (with commentary) on the DVD player in the den, instead of starting to watch upstairs and then slipping away to the den to watch something I like. I have also watched part of Shine A Light, which is excellent; and, as to the part I did not have time to see, it has been recounted to me in great detail. And, if you are interested at all, you know who to call. But I am not really writing about any of that. The soundtrack of Twilight is permeating my living space like a mantra turned evil. Whenever I come home it is playing, it stays on through dinner and after dinner. I am not permitted to turn if off (without objection) in the middle of Yomama’s favorite track, which to me means every track since I can longer tell one from the other. I suggested that I get a pair of sound blocking headphones to wear at home, which did not go over well. Plan B: this Saturday night we go shopping for wireless headphones – not a cheap date – but what price can you put on freedom from Twilight.
Aba
Update: Mom is learning to use Google and, ever since I explained how the IE back button works, she is starting to spend serious time at it. Last night I explained the part about the battery running out if you don’t plug in the charger.
